BAZI Eclipse Season

Eclipse season began on October 25th, and it will last until November 8th during which there will be two eclipses— one of the Sun by a New Moon and one of the Full Moon by the Earth.

But how do we interpret eclipse season with East Asian metaphysics?

The lunar cycle correlates with the transformation of Yin and Yang. A solar eclipse is a cosmic occurrence when the Yin Qi of the moon passes between the Earth and the sun and temporarily blocks the Yang Qi of the sun. It creates a darkness but the light of the Yin Qi moon still shines so it’s not completely dark. This goes back to the theory of Yin and Yang in which there is always Yin within Yang and Yang within Yin.

To better understand the cosmic occurrences of the eclipse, we have to take a look at the Qi of the month.

The Qi of the month in October has three distinct features — the 1) Geng Yang Metal with the Indirect Resource god, 2) Yang Earth Dog, and 3) Wu Earth 7K. This is all based on the Bazi calculations of the month which is the Chinese metaphysical natal chart.

The Geng Yang Metal with the Indirect Resource have two very opposing energies. The Geng Yang Metal is represented by the process of creating a powerfully useful sword from clumps of metal. It represents discipline and dedication. While the Indirect Resource is known for its quick intelligence, and its ability to obtain knowledge in non-traditional manners. It corresponds with the mysterious, intuitive, and empathetic.

The Yang Earth Dog and the Wu Earth 7K also have two polar opposite energies, yet they both have the common Qi of vigilance and individualism. The Yang Earth Dog is extremely loyal, a survivor, and adheres to rules and boundaries. Whereas, the Wu Earth 7K is an aggressive warrior, and is more prone to create destruction and chaos. The energy of both elements have to be threatened in order for it to attack.

So what does this mean for us during eclipse season?

There will be opposing energies (Qi) revealing itself to us in very subtle and indirect ways. THINK: flashes of emotions and dreams. These may activate our desire to completely reevaluate our belief systems like values, morals, and ethical beliefs. We may reconsider the qualities we deem attractive in romantic partners, friends, and business colleagues. There will be this hyper awareness to take action without thinking things through which may cause more harm to us than to others in the end.

This is the time to OBSERVE diligently.

Take the time to observe your emotions rising, particularly during stressful situations. Observe the way others present themselves to you, and observe what comes up for you during these interactions. All of this is meant to reveal your higher purpose within your community and your relationships. But most importantly, the higher purpose for yourself.

My suggestion is to use this first eclipse to observe and jot them down in a journal. Try not to take any actions or jump into the deep end of murky conclusions. On November 7th, the day prior to the second eclipse, we will enter a new Qi of the month which will then give us clarity into the steps we need to take to move forward.
